The ordinary abbreviations for texting are easy. For example: LOL (laugh out loud) or GTG (got to go) or BRB (be right back). But some of the new ones are pretty weird: HOJGTROPACAPAC (hang on just going to reload on popcorn and Coke and Pringles and coffee) or JBMHSOSDOMVG (just beat my high score on seventeen different online multi-player video games) or HIYFATBIHYAHTATATOSF (how is your family a the beach I hope you are having tons and tons and tons of fun) or LODLSW (logged on dressed like sumo wrestler) or WSTS (weeping silently to self). So what if chat-room shorthand has gotten a little out of hand. It’s FUN!! Some from the Onion
